KOREAN WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION TO HONOR WOMEN WHO SERVED IN COMBAT AT “THREADS OF COURAGE” RECOGNITION LUNCHEON

06/15/2026 – Lakewood, Washington: The Korean Women’s Association (KWA) will host “Threads of Courage: A Recognition of Women in Combat” on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Tacoma Country & Golf Club, brought together veterans, community leaders, military families, and supporters to recognize the service and sacrifice of women who have served in combat roles throughout the United States Armed Forces.

This gathering is more than an event. It is a moment to recognize courage, sacrifice, and service that has too often gone unseen. For generations, women have answered the nation’s call to serve. Many have deployed to combat zones, operated in hostile environments, led troops, provided lifesaving support, and carried the burdens of war alongside their fellow service members. Yet their stories and contributions have often received less public recognition than those of their male counterparts.

While the event specifically honors women who served in combat, all veterans are welcomed as part of this important recognition.
